After King Yakshya Malla built his palace in front of the temple of Yakshyashwor Mahadev, since there was a water spout between these two, it was believed ill-fortuned to have a water spout between a palace and a temple, another temple with eight corners was built in front of the palace during the tenure of King Jagat Prakash Malla. Later, this temple was used as rest house during festivals and guest reception house. The last reconstruction of the temple with the technical and financial support of the government of Germany has been criticized for building the temple using steel, which violated the code of world heritage conservation.
राजा यक्ष मल्लको सम्झनामा यक्षेश्वर महादेवको मन्दिर दरवार सामु स्थापना गरेपछि महादेवको जलहरि सामु दरवार हुनु अशुभ मानि यी दुई सम्पदाको बीच आठवटा कोण परेको मन्दिर जस्तै भवनको निर्माण १७ औं शताब्दीमा जगत प्रकाश मल्लको समयमा भएको हो । पछि यसको उपयोग यहां हुने जात्रा, चाडपर्व, उत्सवमा तथा पाहुना आउंदा विश्रामको लागि हुन गयो । जर्मन सरकारको सहयोगमा पछिल्लो पटक पुनःनिर्माण गर्दा मौलिक स्वरुपमै गर्ने प्रयास गर्दागर्दै टिकाउको लागि स्टीलको उपयोग गर्दा सम्पदा संरक्षणको नीति विपरीत यो च्यासिंमण्डप उदाहरण बन्न पुगेको छ ।
