This temple is located in the south-west corner to Yakshyashwor Temple in Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Initially this temple was made of terracotta during King Jitamitra Malla’s rule. Later in the time of Junga Bahadur Rana, it was reconstructed using brick dust, calcium powder and was painted white. It was demolished in the earthquake of April 2015. It has recently been reconstructed by Bhaktapur Municipality.
भक्तपुर लायकुको यक्षेश्वर महादेव मन्दिरको दक्षिण पश्चिम कुनामा यो मन्दिर रहेको छ । राजा जितामित्र मल्लको समयमा निर्माण भएको यो मन्दिर शुरुमा पाृेलेको बुट्टेदार इट्टाको हो । पछि जंग बहादुर राणाको पालामा चुना सुर्खी इटा तथा सेतो पोतेर पुन निर्माण भयो । २०७२ बैशाख १२ को भुकम्पबाट क्षति भएपछि भक्तपुर नगरपालिकाले हालसालै पुन निर्माण गरेको छ ।
