Like Pratap Malla and Yognarendra Malla in Kantipur and Lalitpur, Bhupatindra Malla had his own statue fixed on a tall stone pillar in a gesture of joining hand as if to wish Namaskar. King Bhupatindra wished to show his deep devotion to Talejubhawani and got his statue fixed in this appearance in 819 NS. This pillar used to be the tallest one in the valley. But King of Patan wanted it to be broken. The statue was stationed on a huge stone in Namaskar gesture. It is believed that the golden bird that is perching on the head of the golden snake might any time fly through the slot between the palm in the statue and the time the bird flew through it, would the world collapse in no time. Maybe to prevent this disaster, the two palms are nailed time and again.
कान्तिपुरमा प्रताप मल्लले र ललितपुरमा योगनरेन्द्र मल्ल झै. भक्तपुर लायकुमा लामो ढुङ्गाको खम्बा माथि भूपतिन्द्र मल्लको अन्जली नमस्कार मुद्रामा सुनको सालिग रहेको छ । यसको स्थापना राजा भूपतिन्द्र मल्ल स्वयम्ले ने.सं. ८१९ मा श्री तलेजु भवानी प्रति आस्था जगाउने उद्देश्यले राख्न लगाएको हो । कुनै बेला ती शहरमा सवै भन्दा लामो उचाईमा रहेको खम्बा पाटनका राजाको कारण तीन टुक्रा पारि हालको उचाइमा रहेको कहावत प्रचलित छ । ढुङ्गाको विशाल पंटागिनी माथि कम्मरमा तरवार र ज्यावल भिरी बसेको यो सालिगको नमस्कार गरिएको हातको बिचबाट सुनको नाग माथिको चरा छिरेमा पृथ्वी पल्टिन्छ भन्ने कहावत छ ।यसकारण समय समयमा नमस्कार गरिएको हातमा किल्ला ठोक्ने चलन छ ।
