This exceptional stone sculpture was installed by King Bhupatindra Malla in 1697 AD. The scripture on the foot of this idol proves that this idol was fixed by King Bhupatindra Malla on left side of the entrance of Lion Gate Palace in NS 818.
भक्तपुर दरवार क्षेत्रको मध्यभागमा रहेको सिंहध्वाखा दरवारको ढोकाको बाया तर्फ रहेको हनुमानको मुर्तिको स्थापना न.सं. ८१८ मा तत्कालिन राजा भुपतिन्द्र मल्लले गरेको प्रमाण सोही मुर्तिको पाद पिठमा अंकित अभिलेखले दिन्छ ।
