Nritya Nath Chowk (Nasa Chuka) lies in the north-west corner of the Mulchowk inside Taleju. Other chowks that adjoin this chowk are: Laxmi Bilas Chowk in the East, Dumaju Chowk in the West, Sundari Chowk (that no longer exists) in the North, and Kumari Chowk in the South. This chowk lies in the middle surrounded all these chowks. The three point like holes in the chowk is the Lord Nritya Nath. Whenever any musical or dance performance would take place within the court, Lord Nritya Nath used to be worshipped and for the same purpose Nritya Nath was funded in the royal premises.
ऐतिहासिकता: भक्तपुर तलेजुभित्र मुलचोकको उत्तर पश्चिम कुनामा नृत्यनाथ चोक अर्थात नास चोक रहेको छ । यसको पुर्वमा लक्ष्मी विलास चोक, पश्चिममा दुमाजु चोक, उत्तरमा लोप भैसकेको सुन्दरी चोक र दक्षिणमा कुमारी चोकको बीचमा यो नृत्यनाथ चोक रहेको छ । यसको ३ वटा विन्दु रुपी प्वाल नै नृत्यनाथ हो । तत्कालिन समयमा तलेजु राजदरवारभित्र जति पनि गीत, संगित तथा नृत्यका कार्य शुभारम्भ पूर्व नृत्यनाथको पुजा गर्न यस ठाउंमा नृत्यनाथ स्थापना गरेपछि चोकको नाम नृत्यनाथ चोक हुन पुगेको हो ।
