Among the 24 areas of Bhaktapur during Malla era, Kwathandau is regarded as a strategically important fort area. Kwathandau Pukhu lies at the center of Kwathandau. Kwathandau Pukhu extends from the east to the west and a stone sprout locates at the northwestern corner. It is 175 fts long and 60 fts wide.
मल्लकालीन भक्तपुरका चौबीस टोलमध्ये सामरिक महत्वको किल्ला भएको टोल हो क्वाठण्डौ । क्वाठण्डौ टोलको मध्यभागमा क्वाठण्डौ पोखरी छ । पूर्व–पश्चिम लाम्चो आकारको यो पोखरीको उत्तरपश्चिम कुनामा ढुङ्गेधारा पनि छ । यो पोखरीको लम्बाइ १७५ फिट र चौडाइ ६० फिट छ ।
