Tadhan Byasi is one of the important entry point to core area of Bhaktapur which lies in the Northern part. Byasi Pukhu (Byasi Pond) as other ponds is built in rectangular shape with 93 feet in length (north –south) and 59 feet (East –West) width. This pond is believed to have added the beauty of city as it lies closed to the northern entry point. As the vicinity of this pond lies Falcha, small temples and Narayan Statues the pond has religious and cultural significant as well. Besides its cultural, religious and social importance the pond has contributed to keep the local environment calm and cool.
भक्तपुर नगर प्रवेश गर्ने उत्तर तर्फको एक महत्वपूर्ण नाका तह«ा ब्यासीको प्रवेशद्वार भएर नगर भित्रिने क्रममा मूल बाटोसंगै रहेको पोखरी ब्यासी पुखु (ब्यासी पोखरी) हो । उत्तर दक्षिण लाम्चो परेको यो पोखरी नगर प्रवेश गर्ने समुख मै परेको हुँदा नगरको शोभा बढाउने पोखरीको रुपमा चिनिन्छ । पोखरी वरपर पाटी सत्तल, विभिन्न देवदेवीहरुको मूर्तिहरु र नारायण मन्दिर पनि रहेको कारण धार्मिक सांस्कृतिक एवम सामाजिक दृष्टिकोणले पनि यो पोखरी महत्वपूर्ण छ । यो पोखरीले ब्यासी टोलको वातावरण स्वच्छ बनाउन सहयोग भईरहेको छ । यसको उत्तर दक्षिण लम्बाई ९३ फिटको र पूर्व पश्चिम चौडाई ५९ फिटको छ ।
