Located in the middle part of Bhandarkhal Chowk, this pond was made at the same time when Jagarjyoti made the shed and the palace in NS 751. The pond is decorated with artistic stone snake, the idol of Lord Bhimsen, Lord Mahadev, and Lord Narayan. A rare stone image of ducks teasing a turtle can also be found in the pond. Learning the importance of this historic pond, King Jitamitra Malla got a stone scripture placed here. It was notice to the public to prohibit people from leaving their cattle and birds, women in their menstrual period from entering here, and people from washing their hands and legs. During Dashain, there is a tradition of washing the Khadga of Wankuli Devi in this pond before establishing it ,in Kumari Chowk. People believe that this pond used to be a secret treasure of the Malla Kings.
