Yomari Punhi

Yomari Punhi

On this day in December, farmers of the Kathmandu Valley worship Annapurna, the goddess of grains for a good rice harvest. This is also an opportunity to enjoy a feast after all the hard work of the season. Yomari is the chief item on the menu (also called yomari puni).
